Granule processing Glatt | Hüttlin | Shugi
Custom Powders has several types of fluid bed dryers available for the drying of granules. We have available two types of batch fluid bed dryers, one from the company Glatt (200 litres) and one from the company Hüttlin (1200 litres) as well as a Shugi fluid bed dryer (1 T) that can be used for the batch drying of granules as well as for continuous drying of granules.

What makes these dryers very suitable for the drying of granules is that they all move the granules around with the support of air and thus limit the amount of friction to the minimum.
All these dryers are fully equipped in stainless steel and are suitable for the drying of food and feed products (additives) as well as for low toxic chemical products.

Granule processing Glatt | Hüttlin | Shugi
Custom Powders offers the possibility of drying granules in batch quantities on different types of fluid bed dryers. These dryers are very suitable for the drying of granules because they use air in order to move the granules around instead of some mechanical mechanism.
This saves the granules from unnecessary break down. The advantage from processing in batches is that it is possible to adapt the residence time according to the specific requirements of the product and it gives the opportunity to consider various temperature settings during the drying process.
Next to the Hüttlin (1200 litres) and the Glatt (200 litres) batch fluid bed dryers we can also deploy our Shugi fluid bed dryer which is more routinely used as a continuous fluid bed dryer. With some adaptation the latter can be used as a batch dryer as well.
One can install a weir in this dryer that will enable us to keep the product in the dryer for as long as is required.
In this machine the product is also transported through the dryer by the movement of air.
Depending on the specific characteristics of the granule and the desired quantities, a machine can be picked that best suits the requirements.
After this drying step the product, if desired, can be sieved in order to remove possible fines and dust from the end-product.
