Custom Powders also offers in addition to sieving, separation and classification of powder, the option to sieve or de-dust granules.

The sieving of granules is a specialist skill and requires a completely different approach to the sieving of powders. When sieving granules it is of the utmost importance that one takes into account the specific characteristics of the individual granules.

The hardness and the shape of the granules can be decisive for a successful outcome. If the granules are soft or very angular then the chances are that the sieving action itself might create additional dust or fines thus making it difficult to achieve the desired specification.

Our equipment lives up to the highest quality standards and can be flexibly deployed in combination with other types of processing. Also we show a lot of flexibility where various types of packaging are concerned.

Custom Powders has many years of experience in the area of sieving and/or de-dusting granules for different industries. Every granule has its own individual mechanical, chemical and thermal characteristics that can have an effect on how a product can best be sieved.

It is very important that when sieving granules one chooses the right sieving technique in order that the initial structure of the granule is not broken down, leading to dust or fines being created. Not every granule is suited for sieving.

When sieving granules we tend to use the vibrating shaker sieves from the companies Allgaier and Minox. They have developed specially designed sieves in order to prevent the breaking down of fragile products and agglomerates. These types of sieves are very suitable for the sieving of difficult to process products and they offer a very broad size range varying from about 500 micron to a couple of millimetres. One of the big advantages of these sieves is that they can be set up with multiple sieve decks which make it possible to separate different fractions at the same time.

All our equipment is designed in stainless steel and the process is undertaken in strictly separated Units. Product can be received in various types of raw material packaging and again the end-product can be packed of to different types of packaging as well.
