How do we do it
Custom Powders as a toll manufacturer offers a wide range of powder & granule processing services. Customers come to us when they encounter specific problems/issues with their products that they cannot handle or solve themselves. We then offer a solution by providing production capacity and by sharing our knowledge, skills and experience. Issues that occur are that our customers do not have enough production capacity in house themselves and look for a (temporary) solution to extend their capacity or that their production capacity for other reasons is not available. Often we are approached for trials and for the up-scaling from trials to production campaigns, or when a customer wants to introduce a new development product into the market. Custom Powders supports these customers by taking these issues from their hands and providing them with a customized solution at the best possible costs.
Our customers originate from a wide variety of industries varying from the food- to the chemical- to the detergent-, veterinary-, animal feed additives- and plastic additives- to the personal care industry.
The equipment we have in-house is installed in units that are physically strictly separated from each other. Virtually 100% of the equipment we operate is manufactured in stainless steel and typically is designed to process about 1 T of material per hour. It depends off course on the nature of the material, the required specifications and the required packaging what exact throughput can be achieved. We are not really set up to handle very small quantities and normally only come into the picture for campaigns varying from a couple of tonnes to thousands of tonnes per year. Our customers deliver their raw materials to our doorstep, we then process these materials to the required specifications and then the Customer makes arrangement for the collection of the end-product and further distribution. In most cases our customers provide the raw materials as well as the required packaging materials, required labels and pallets.
The raw materials we normally receive in big bags, sacks or bulk but also the delivery in other types of packing is something that can be discussed. Regarding the end-product packaging we are also rather flexible.
For both production locations, Crewe (UK) as well as Helmond (NL), we offer three shift system working and if required for 7 days a week.
