MULTIPROCESSING
This multiprocessor is designed to operate at 1 tonne per hour for most of its many processes. These can be grouped as follows:–
| Dry | – powder agglomerating using a low melt binder
| – fluid bed drying
| Molten | – spray chilling
| – hot melt agglomeration
| – hot melt encapsulation
| Aqueous | – spray drying
| – spray agglomeration
| – spray coating
| – spray encapsulation
| Organic | – spray coating
| – liquid absorbtion

EQUIPMENT

This equipment has been selected because it is extremely versatile, it is controllable and it can
produce commercial quantities quickly, unlike the smaller vessels we have used in the past. It is
best suited to runs of 60 to 200 tonnes otherwise the cleandown costs become disproportionate.
The maximum temperature is limited by the filtration system and it is not seriously offered as
commercially competitive with large purpose designed spray drying systems.
It has a high level of control because of the toroidal action (swirling vortex) of the fluid bed and
the ten ‘4-fluid’ nozzles which create a micro climate within which the shaping processes are
undertaken. This level of control, plus our highly skilled staff, ensures that consistent results are
achieved.
The equipment is manufactured to high standards in stainless steel and it meets food GMP
requirements. This is only available at Crewe, UK but as sales develop we expect to set up a
further system either in the UK or NL.
Such equipment is ideally suited to being dedicated for a single customer and we welcome
approaches to discuss such an option.
