POWDER BLENDING

CONTINUOUS BLENDING

We blend over 6,000 tonnes per year in this manner. It is possible for one of the feeds to be in bulk and the others in big bags but most options are possible. The powders pass through feeders which are controlled volumetrically (by sampling) or gravimetrically (by controlled weighing).

In-line options include milling, check sieving, use of magnets, liquid addition and other facilities upon request.

MULTI-COMPONENT BATCH BLENDING

The larger blenders are sized to fill one or two big bags and we select the ploughshare type due to their ability to distribute very small percentages over the whole batch. Lightly agglomerated raw materials can be broken down with chopper blades, liquids can be added and the finished blend can be check-sieved.

HIGH-SHEAR DISPERSING Sometimes high-shear is necessary in order to provide intimate powder/powder contact or to heat up low melt powder which then coat the fine powder. These special applications are described in another sheet.
