CONTINUOUS SYSTEM
The flash dryer was selected as our first system for its ability to dry to a very even moisture level and to produce a uniform particle size. It has proven to be valued more for its short residence time, as this prevents product degradation. Dryers are located at both factories. For dust free granular products, we have the continuous fluid bed drier in Helmond with a handling capacity in excess of 1t/hr (depending upon the application).
The Hutlin fluidised bed can work in spray drying mode at temperatures of up to 150°C and is therefore suitable for tanker loads of heat sensitive materials. Flash drying of pastes/filter cake/powders at 60 to 350°C and down to 0.03% water content, with some size reduction. Fluid bed drying of granules in extended runs (NL only). Low temperatures spray drying of aqueous systems (UK only).
