Contract powder & granule processing of food additives is our largest sector as well as attracting the largest tonnage per customer, from 1,000 to 3,000 tonnes per annum.

Services include drying, dedusting, compacting, milling, blending, agglomeration and sieving. Global customers are based in the USA. and Europe.

We operate to FSSC 22000 and ISO 22000 in our UK factories.

We started formulating antibiotic components and compacted our first order over 30 years ago. Since then we have produced 15 different formulations in the UK with manufacturing licences from the MHRA and VMD.
We have a pharmaceutical quality system, we are certified to GMP standard and a contract QP in place.
For Animal feed supplements and protein supplements we have FEMAS certification.

Each customer has a suite of rooms dedicated to manufacture, raw material storage and warehousing of tested products prior to dispatch to all continents.

This covers a wide and varied field of raw materials with many different processes.
Whether it is milling, check sieving and repacking pharmaceutical excipients or the critical dispersion of additives into materials to be formulated into medical products, we have the technology and GMP process standard to match.
Our care and diligence when handling customers’ materials has enabled a customer to entrust drying materials where a single batch value has been up to £1million. In other instances, we have milled several pharmaceutical excipients for major healthcare companies.

With 13 process units and more than 40 different processes possible, we routinely adapt processes to achieve specific customer requirements, and we regularly exceed their expectations.

During one emergency we set up a de-dusting service capable of 40 tonnes per day until the manufacturer’s problem was resolved. During others we sieved out black specs from hundreds of tonnes, we crushed thousands of tonnes, we dried product in a thousand IBC’s, blended and sieved similar tonnages and agglomerated hundreds of tonnes.
